“Abh Khelenge Hum” is aninitiative supported by TDH and Organised by New Vision ,collaborating with Pune city NGO’s that ensures childhood is defined by play, learning, and belonging rather than just survival. By providing safe spaces, equipment, and mentorship, the program breaks barriers to give underprivileged children access to the transformative joy of sports.
2026 Campaign Initiatives
The Play 31 Challenge: Schools are encouraged to integrate 31 extra minutes of play into their daily schedules to honor Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Focus on Protection: As public spaces become less accessible, the campaign advocates for the defense of free, unstructured play environments.
Nurturing Safety: Efforts are centered on ensuring that play remains safe and supportive, whether in physical neighborhoods or digital online spaces.
Global Collaboration: Co-facilitated by UNICEF and UNESCO, the day mobilizes global action to prioritize play-centric policies for children’s long-term resilience and well-being.
